Sweetening Jar Candle | Soy Wax Candle with Cassia
For when someone needs to be a bit nicer to you, and you’d rather not wait for them to work it out on their own.
This candle is hand poured in my kitchen and scented with honey and warm oats, with cassia bark worked through for a bit of heat. Honey is the old standby for sweetening someone’s mood: a boss, a landlord, a mother-in-law, anyone with a face like a slapped arse. The cassia gets things moving so the sweetness doesn’t just sit there being pleasant.
Burn it on its own, or set it on top of a honey jar spell to keep things ticking along. It smells like flapjacks cooling on the side, and that alone has softened plenty of hearts.
Light it, think of who needs sweetening, and let the honey do the talking.
Hand poured in small batches. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from pets, children and anything you’re trying to sweeten that has a tail.
